Aleksandra’s first birthday party with lots of pretty flowers and a sweet Asian tradition Sweet and simple peony cupcakes for Aleksandra and her little buddies The dessert table included a luscious red velvet cake, vanilla cupcakes, macarons, flower-shaped jelly sandwiches, strawberries, powdered sugar donuts and sweet rice crackers to honor the slight Asian touch to the party (more details on that below!) The sweetest little ombre green smash cake with a sugar peony on top of course! And look at those darling chubby hands :) Handwritten messages for Aleksandra from her cousins and friends Dreamy, isn’t it? Who wouldn’t want to turn ONE under a bunch of pretty pink balloons?! Aleksandra’s pretty little silk sash was made from the same silk ribbon used on the favors and the dessert table With her mama! Darling bird nest name tags to bring in a whimsical feel Aleksandra’s family spent some time living in Korea and really wanted to incorporate the traditional Korean game of “Dol Jabi” into Aleksandra’s first birthday party. A bunch of toys and props were laid out in front of her from which she had to pick one. Her choice would determine what career she would pursue as an adult! To her father’s delight, she picked the dollar note. FINANCE it is! :) Bird cage favors for all the little guests. Each one was filled with pineapple flavored marshmallows shaped like little birds! Beautiful little girl. Beautiful mama. How I love first birthday parties! Note: If you’d prefer your child’s picture removed from this gallery, please email me!
