I made these sweet halloween treats for a Halloween Party a couple of years ago – they are super easy and the kids loved them! When you’re planning a party, you’re already overlooking a lot of details. So give yourself a break and include some foods that only need to be assembled…. Yes! It’s absolutely okay if everything is not made from scratch! This is why I am a fan of Sandra Lee’s semi-homemade philosophy – Catch her show on Food Network if you haven’t already. Here’s how to make your own sweet halloween treats — What you need: -Ready-to-use white fondant (available at craft stores like Michaels) -Two-bite mini brownies -Small tube of black icing What to do: -Roll out the fondant so it’s about as thick as a tortilla -Cut out circles with a cookie cutter, about 2.5″ in diameter -Flip a brownie bite over so the smaller side is facing up -Now place the fondant circle on top, and pat it down just enough to create a ‘white sheet’ effect, be careful not to pat it too much or it won’t look ‘ghostly’ enough -Finish off with two gleaming icing eyes!
How easy is that? Make it a fun project with the kids! :)
Happy Halloween!~ Jasmine
