This is a pretty exciting post that I’ve been waiting to write! Late last year, I worked with a great team of vendors to design and put together a travel-themed Bat Mitzvah shoot for The Celebration Society magazine, formerly known as Occasions.
Even though its not the first time IDEA! event + style has been featured in print, the excitement is still as new as ever! Working with a fabulous team to create beauty is pretty much my favorite thing ever, you’ve probably guessed that by now ;)
I hope you enjoy these beautiful images by Kate T Parker Photography, one of my favorite photographers in the big A! Have you come across her amazing “Strong is the new pretty” campaign? So inspiring! #strongisthenewpretty
A lot of wonderful local vendors and boutiques and Etsy shops sent me their products for this beautiful shoot. I am so grateful for successful collaborations and would like to thank each one of you again! Also… Lyndsie & Allyssa, thank you so much for being wonderful, patient & perfect models :)
The story behind the shoot:
“A Bat Mitzvah not only symbolizes a precious daughter turning 12 and ‘coming of age’, but also celebrates the values being passed down to her as she navigates the next stage of her life. I think its important to make the day unforgettable not only for the guests, but for the real center of attention – the Bat Mitzvah girl by celebrating what matters to her and to the family as a whole! Taking this concept further, I was inspired to turn the Jassael family’s love of adventure and traveling around the globe into a theme for their daughter Naomi’s mitzvah. They want to further instill in her that the world is truly her oyster, that she shouldn’t be afraid to explore not only the world but also her own inner self as she now matures.”
